Copper River Princess Wilderness Lodge Activities
Copper River Princess Wilderness Lodge is the gateway to America’s largest national park.
Wrangell-St. Elias National Park is home to nine of the sixteen highest peaks in the United States and Kennicott, a historic copper-mining boomtown. The lodge offers stunning vistas of the Wrangell St. Elias Range and overlooks the Alaska Pipeline and the confluence of the Copper and Klutina Rivers.
Step out of the lodge and stroll along the Klutina Lake Trail. Miners used the route during the Alaska gold rush to travel from the port of Valdez to the gold fields of the interior. The Copper River Valley is rich in Native Alaska traditions and is the home of a vibrant Athabascan culture. And the waters of the Copper River are home to the legendary Copper River Red Salmon.
