Pack up the car and hit the road for your favorite Princess Wilderness Lodge
As the days grow longer and summer is clearly on the horizon, we thought it would be a great time to share some fun events and happenings in the areas of our lodges. From baseball to fun runs it is time to make your plans for summer.
Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge
Full bus services open on the Denali Park and Preserve road on Sunday, May 20. Services are available through mile 53 at Toklat. This road offers some of the best wildlife viewing in Alaska from ptarmigans to brown bears.
Kenai Princess Wilderness Lodge
From June 8 to the 10, travel to the Kenai Princess Wilderness Lodge and join the fun at the Kenai River Festival at Soldotna Creek Park in downtown Soldotna. The free, family-friendly annual community event offers activities, art, food, and the “Run for the River” 10 mile and 5K races.
Kenai is home to the Peninsula Oilers baseball team. Check out America’s favorite pastime in Kenai June 11 though the 19, when the Oilers will take on other teams from around the state. Times vary depending on day/evening games. Check out the game schedule on the Oilers website.
Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge
Fairbanks is definitely the place to be for the summer solstice and this year is no exception. The Midnight Sun Festival will be from noon to midnight on Sunday, June 24. The event includes food booths, arts and crafts vendors and live music. Visit the Downtown Fairbanks website for more information.
