Day 1 : Anchorage – Talkeetna

Board the train at the Anchorage depot. On your journey, watch the scenery unfold before you. Talkeetna is an eclectic town at the junction of three rivers, where nature trails and optional activities abound. You’ll stay at the beautiful Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge, featuring quite possibly the most awesome view of Denali in the state. Once there, you’ll have time for optional activities such as hiking and float trips. Overnight Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge.

Day 2 : Talkeetna – Anchorage

  • Departs 2:45 PM (Train Departs Talkeetna Depot)
  • Arrives 5:45 PM (Train Arrives Anchorage Depot)

Enjoy a morning at leisure or choose an optional activity like a jet boat adventure or nature walk. Later, re-board our luxury domed railcar and begin the return journey to Anchorage. Your vacation in Alaska comes to a close at the railroad depot.

Day 2 : Talkeetna

Wake up for optional morning activities or relax with a cup of coffee in "The Great Room." Visit the tour desk where helpful staff will assist you in planning the day's activities. Overnight Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge.

Day 3 : Talkeetna - Anchorage

  • Departs 2:45pm (Train Departs Talkeetna)
  • Arrives 5:45pm (Train Arrives Anchorage)

Enjoy a morning at leisure before transferring back to Talkeetna and re-boarding the train this afternoon for your return trip to Anchorage. Sip a cocktail in the dome or venture out to the observation vestibule for an up-close view of Alaska's wilderness. Your vacation in Alaska comes to a close upon arrival to the Anchorage rail depot.
