Experience first-hand the challenges miners throughout Alaska’s history endured, and still endure, prospecting and mining in the back country! Leave behind the complexity and noise of today in exchange for the “never a dull moment” untamed wild! The only way in and out to your mining adventure is via a scenic raft trip and hike! Upon arrival at the mining location, your experienced guide will teach you the basics of prospecting and mining and introduce you to the tools of the trade. Then your quest for gold begins! Enjoy an authentic experience, and go home with incredible stories, possibly a few aching muscles, and new knowledge! The gold you find is the reward for your efforts, that along with great memories, stories, and laughs!
Special Note
Dress in warm layers. Rubber boots, rain gear and panning equipment will be provided. Please bring your own snacks/lunch/beverages. A box lunch can be purchased at the Kenai Princess Wilderness Lodge. Lunch orders must be made with the Tour Desk upon arrival night.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Land Excursions cancelled prior to the cancellation deadline will be refunded to the credit card that you provided to purchase your tours. Excursions cancelled within three (3) days prior travel are subject to a 100% cancellation fee, unless the operator, at their sole discretion, is unable to operate the program due to unforeseen circumstances. All sales of tours booked while on your land tour are considered final at the time of purchase and are 100% non-refundable except in the case of an operator approved cancellation.
