Denali Excursions

Get out and ride in the Alaska Boreal Forest! Traveling at speeds up to 30 mph, maneuver through the taiga to picturesque panoramas of the Alaska Range. Observe glacial moraines and historic archeological dig sites while navigating tree rutted trails, mountain-fed creek beds, and boggy tundra. You may learn how to make fireweed tea, leave with a blueberry smile, or even chat about survival. Periodic stops are made for photography and wildlife sightings. Trails are challenging for all experience levels. A safety demonstration and ATV orientation are provided to ensure you’re comfortable before we hit the trails.

Special Note

Tours operate rain or shine. Closed-toe shoes are mandatory. Bring a jacket and a camera. If solo traveling, you will be paired up on your adventure. The minimum age to drive is 16. All minors under 18 cannot participate without a parent/guardian. All drivers must have and show a valid Driver’s License or government issued photo ID with date of birth. A waiver must be signed and wearing helmets is mandatory. Wildlife is never a guarantee. ATV tours are not recommended for anyone with neck or back issues or pregnant guests.  Pricing shown is for a side by side ATV. Single ATV option is also available.

HOW TO BOOK

An array of optional tours is available at Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge during the summer season. To add an activity to your stay, please visit the Tour Desk upon arrival at the lodge.  If you are booked on a Denali rail tour, you may call 1-800-426-0500 to book an excursion in advance.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Land Excursions cancelled prior to the cancellation deadline will be refunded to the credit card that you provided to purchase your tours. Excursions cancelled within three (3) days prior travel are subject to a 100% cancellation fee, unless the operator, at their sole discretion, is unable to operate the program due to unforeseen circumstances. All sales of tours booked while on your land tour are considered final at the time of purchase and are 100% non-refundable except in the case of an operator approved cancellation.
